Lampwork beads are handmade from glass rods that are heated to form a bead and add decorations. All of the beads that I use for my jewelry have been kiln-annealed. This means that after the bead is formed it is placed in a hot kiln to be cooled gently and gradually. This process makes the beads stronger and prevents them from cracking.

Although the beads are of a highest quality, they are still made of glass, so treat them as you would treat any other jewelry - after you take it off, put it in your jewelry box, make sure it doesn't come into direct contact with sharp objects or other jewelry pieces as they might scratch the beads. Don't spray perfume directly onto the jewelry, wait for body moisturizers to be absorbed into the skin before putting your jewelry on. Clean with a soft, damp cloth. Use a special silver cleaning cloth to clean the earwires and other silver parts.
